Active Camper Out - Oct 2013

We were looking for a place to spend a week during December 2012. We thought the beaches would be crowded, but we wanted a place with good access to swimming – both for exercise and cooling off. We’d heard about Sandy Hollow, and the location appealed – close to both the Wollomi and Goulburn River National Parks, and not too far from home (Sydney) so more time to spend exploring the countryside rather than travelling. Swimming? After checking the Sandy Hollow Tourist Park website, it seemed to tick all our boxes – particularly the swimming pool. We booked a site.

Chun and David were very welcoming and friendly, and told us about drives, walks, wineries, bird watching sites. We chatted with them a lot during our stay, while they were working tirelessly to improve their park. We also spent some time most days at the café across the road, perusing art books, and chatting with the owners and locals. We had an extremely relaxing time exploring the local area, driving through some truly stunning landscapes, scrambling around Giants Leap, immersing ourselves in the pool, making use of the camp kitchen, reading under the trees - you get the idea. Beautiful location, lots of space, sun and shade, powered sites available, not too expensive, café and pub close by.

Hello Chun and David,

Thank you so much for the lovely photos you sent. All our group have still been talking about our wonderful stay at your park and your hospitality to our group. David's wood deliveries for our campfire and your yummy pumpkin scones! Everyone has also mentioned now that they have discovered your park they will look forward to making a return visit when they are in the area, as we will also.

Many thanks again

Newcastle Restored Vehicle Club - Jun 2014

Hi Chun and David

Thank you for your email, yes we had a great day on Sunday cruising around the Upper Hunter.

Everyone loved the weekend and there is movement to do it again next year……so we will probably be booking the same number of cabins again plus some. Thank you again for your hospitality and hope to see you same time next year.

Central Coast Bikers Club - Apr 2014

Hi David and Chun

Thanks so much for your hospitality on Friday evening and Saturday morning

Your friendliness and great facilities were a blessing to us

I hope we left the rooms and camp kitchen in good order

Hopefully, we will be back sometime and be able to stay a little longer and have a look around the beautiful area
