Merriwa Festival of the Fleeces 2012
June 8th and 9th 2012 - Friday night and all day Saturday - June Long Weekend
Come to Merriwa and see the sheep dressed in red socks running the main street, watch the blade shearer as he shows his skills taking the fleece through to today's shearer with his motor run blades. With rides, art show, dames, team penning, quilting display, dog high jumps, whip cracking, clowns, stalls and lots more to see, the day is set to entertain.
A fantastic firework display is provided on the Saturday at the showground.
Raising money for Westpac Rescue Helicopter and Merriwa VRA.

There will be food and drinks available on the day, with plenty to see and do. Shannons will have their big rig there, and you can see the runner-up of the 2009 Bathurst Campers (The Osborne's Bus) which will be available to see. Come along and support a great cause - and have a great day out. Helicopter rides will also be available.
