Testimonials

  • "We stayed at Sandy Hollows Tourist park Easter 2016 in the Wollemi Cabin. Sandy Hollows really is in the middle of nowhere so to speak but we and a fantastic time, full of families and kids, and Paddy is super friendly and accommodating. Our Cabin was an oversized Cubby House and my three young girls loved it. They went swimming, playing on the trampoline, went for a great bush walk, went to the Musswelbrook Easter Races (which was a FANTASTIC family day out!) and went for Pub dinner lunch across the road in Sandy Hollow where you get good old fashioned country service and big serves of a hearty meal. So if you are just passing through or tripping around the Upper Hunter and just need a place to kip and let the kids blow off some cobwebs - recommended."

  • Relaxing stay in the hotel part of the tourist park. Clean and tidy, handy kitchen.
Challenging bush walk, big pool, good area for bike riding.
Paddy was very friendly and helpful.
Pet friendly, plenty of room for camping.
  • Our family 5 adults and 4 children spent one night at this friendly vacation park. We were accommodated in two cabins both with two bedrooms, a living room and kitchen. The larger cabin had a pullout sofa that worked for two of the children. Keeping in mind that this is not a luxury location, rather a more camping environment, we were very pleased with what awaited us! The owner made sure that our cabins would work for us well and gave us good tips regarding local amenities. We were pleased to find each cabin had all the necessities -- hand/body soap (multiple small bars), coffee, tea, etc. dishwashing soap and the little extras that help keep the place tidy. The linens were very clean and the towels fluffy. After a long day on the road we were pleased to come into this folksy park and feel that we were well cared for. Thank you, Sandy Hollow.
  • Lovely park, beautiful surroundings. Visited with a camper - powered site. Very helpful and friendly manager. Clean and hot showers. Good facilities inc BBQs and laundry. Pub and petrol station right next door. Would recommend to anyone travelling to the area.

•Just a quick email to say thank you for your hospitality for our stay over the weekend. We really enjoyed it. You certainly had lots of campers staying which was good to see from a business perspective. We have friends we want to bring up for our next visit as we have said nice things about the park. Take care and look forward to our next visit.

•Thank you very much for a relaxing stay at your Top Tourist Park. We enjoyed the surroundings and found it a good base to do some exploring in the area. We wish you all the best with the Park – knowing how hard you both work at it, we are sure you will do well.

•The baby lambs are so cute, we absolutely love them, and can't wait to see them. Ruth and Andrew are very excited! We had a good time staying in your Park again, I got photos of the blue face honeyeater, noisy friarbird, white-winged cough, eastern rosella, there were so much to see.  Hope we can come back again next year. Best wishes

•I have been travelling from my home Cassilis to Central Coast for work for the past 22 years, I drive past your park for all these years, but I never came inside. I am so glad that I finally visit you and regret that I have not discovered you earlier! I thourouly enjoy my stay here, the site is so big and the park is so picturesque and quiet, it is a paradise! 4 days are too short. I will certainly come back and I am going to tell all my friends and family!

•I really had been meaning to get back in touch with you to say the biggest "thank you" on behalf of all the participants. We're all still raving about it all…Your venue really was magnificent, we couldn't have wished for more. The setting was beautiful; plenty of nice grassy areas to spread out, and the camp kitchen area was superb. Thanks again for being our hosts, and producing all those thousands(?) of scones.  We hope to see you again some day.....

•We enjoyed staying in Sandy Hollow Tourist Park from 20 Sep to 24 Sep 2013. On Saturday 21 Sep, 2 of our sons and their families also stayed to celebrate our son Steve's 40th birthday. It was great to have all 3 families in one area and to move a BBQ, tables and chairs into the area to set up for a family party and again for breakfast on Sunday morning. We enjoyed the walk up the mountain on Saturday afternoon. The kids enjoyed being able to run around and visit the sheep. Thank you for providing good facilities and a great bushland setting. We will probably be back for a similar weekend as it is easy to get to from Central coast and Gilgandra. Many thanks for a great weekend.

•I went to Sandy Hollow Park with my family for my uncle Steve's birthday. I fed Troy, he is 4 months old, I played with my cousins. We all had lots of fun.

•My family stayed in Sandy Hollow Tourist Park, Hunter Cottage. I discovered there are 3 sheep next to our cabin, there is another sheep living near the Reception, his name is Troy. He is my favorite sheep out of the four. Their names are: Dorris, Daisy and Molly. Guess what? when Me and my brother took Troy for a walk, he was so strong, we ended up following him. We will surely come back soon. We really like everything here. Now we know where to come for birds watching.
